Arthritis Muscle Pain, managing the pain.
70There are two basic different types of muscle arthritis pain. The first type of pain is categorized as Acute. Acute pain is usually associated with the sudden onset of a sharp pain, which will not usually last long and are tended to be viewed as an Arthritis "flare up". Acute pain is normally associated with the bodies reaction in alerting you to painful things like fire, a sharp nail, or any other dangerous type of pain. The second type of pain associated with Arthritis is chronic pain. Chronic pain is long term and lasting and serves no purpose.
Both acute and chronic pain can be dealt with in a manner of ways. At this time there is no known Cure for arthritis but there are many ways to treat and ease the pains that come with it. Relief of Arthritis can be achieved using some of the following treatments.
Cold and Heat packs
Applying Hot packs first for one hour, and then icing the affected area after. Or sometimes depending on the person doing this in the reverse order. Can offer some relief from pain.
Massage therapy
Visiting a massage therapist can greatly increase the stimulation of you joints, and this also has the added benefit of helping to increase the range of motion of your joints. Daily gentle exercise under your therapists care can greatly help to reduced the swelling of your joints.
Hydrotherapy
This is a form of water massage. And also can be exercise done in water. This is helpful as when exercising in water you get all the benefits of stretching and muscle building but you dont have the joint damage that normally comes when doing exercise as the water helps to prevent this.
Relaxation
Taking time out of your day to spend an hour doing yoga or having a hot bath before bed can greatly reduce your Arthritis Muscle Pain and this has the added benefit of reducing the muscle tension in your entire body. Tension from body and the affected muscles can stress the other muscles around them and cause a symptom known as "strained supporting tissues". This is when the other areas around your arthritis prone areas also start to get affected and because they are compensating they tire and get fatigued as well.

As my husband and I are getting older. he’s 71 and I’m 70. He has had one knee replaced and has bad arthritis in his other knee. Being able to walk into a bathtub without fear of falling is huge daily challenge for my husband. He used to come in and go downstairs for the shower but those days are gone for the both of us. We decided to look into walk in bathtubs. We found so many sites with tubs ranging for two thousand to nearly five thousand. Plus the installation cost of the tub it was looking like a eight thousand dollar purchase. After researching extensively safe and independent bathing we came across Ellasbubbles.com
We picked the Ella's Deluxe model because it had features we both really liked Hydrotherapy Spa system which works great on my husbands knees. 10 hydrotherapy jets, 7 air jets. We also purchased some grab bar and handrails along the tub. Make it very easy to get in and out of the tub. My husband and I are very pleased with our purchase and the contractor that Ella's bubbles recommended for the installation was top notch.
