Some quick Tips on Arthritis Pain Relief :

Exercise has been shown to help improve the pain of Arthritis and lessen joint pain. Its been proven that doing light exercises especially multi joint movements are beneficial. Working on joint mobility, strength and range of flexibility can all be helpful.

If you are concerned about hurting yourself or not familiar with working out hiring a therapist or physiotherapist can help you with building the confidence in yourself and workout routine.

Tip One - Eating a healthy diet

This is key to reducing joint pain. I would recommend using some supplements as well. I have found that Chondroitin, MSM, and Glucosamine taken separately or together in a multivitamin form have drastically reduced the swelling from my arthritis. I take one multi form tablet that has all 3 supplements in the morning , and one at night before I go to bed.

Tip Two - Full body Exercise

Doing full body exercises such as squats are a great full body movement. This form of movement uses all your core muscles and can be great for building up strength. Squatting helps to mainly build up mobility and Strength in the Hip and Knee as well as the Back areas. Make sure you only do squats if your up to it. There is also another full body exercise you can do which is called the reverse back extension. This exercise is show below

Tip Three - Movements that Dont cause you any Pain

Its important when you are exercising that you don't hurt yourself. Try to exercise as carefully as you can so that you get a good stretch and increase flexibility and strength but not so much as to injure yourself. Stretching before you exercise is an important thing to do this will help warm up your muscles and lessen the chance of injury. Look for sore spots on your body and stretch and massage around them before you exercise. The spots close to your Arthritis affected areas are known as trigger points and are usually one of the key areas that need to be targeted when you stretch and massage prior to working out.

Remember to do your squats gently and carefully if you feel light headed or if you are pushing yourself too hard its better to take a break. The squat is one of the best core exercises doing it twice a week at minimum is best. Below is a picture of someone doing a squat using some light weights. Doing these exercises combined with eating a healthy diet and plenty of rest should help Relief some of the Pain of Arthritis. Don't forget to take your supplements as well they are key in order to help heal and repair your body.

Good advice, although the reverse back extension is one exercise that I have trouble doing.
